This product has been amazing for me and my cat! Easy to clean and set up with my onlyissue being the inaccuracy of the portion sheet. My best recommendation is measuring the portions released before settling on a number. Easy to adjust and change. Very portable and maintained my settings during my move. Also, very durable! My cat has absolutely tried to bust into the container and it has remained locked and intact. I love the white matte look. I highly recommend this product and it is well worth the price.Side note: if you’re having issues with your cat harassing you for food in the mornings this has been a great help!
Exactly as described. Personalize meal calls, which sound at every scheduled or manual feeding. Precise measuring. Great connectivity. Let’s you know if there is motion or sound detected with sensitivity adjustments. Easy to set up. Nightvision. Dry pack to keep food fresh. Great for my cat. Would probably need constant refilling for a dog just because of tank size. But, does not notify of remaining food in dispensing tank, when bowl is empty, has no back up battery, and has a slightly awkward refill. If you take the tank off you have to attach it to the base upside down to not spill or just open the top lid with base still attached. It does have a clear see through window on the front, It’s lightweight, and portable enough though. Customer service is decent with email exchanges. It’s nice if you’re looking for bells and whistles. Size wise, it’d be a problem for some animals because it’d need constant refilling. But, I enjoy the alerts, personalized meal call, camera, and dispensing flexibility while staying accurate. Live microphone and viewing is cool forsure too.

This is my go-to automatic cat feeder. I’ve bought three already. Two for my two cats and one for my nephew and his cat.I did try one other brand first, but unfortunately, the lid was very flimsy and did not work well for my clever cats as they kept popping the lid off or knocking it over. however this brand Andoll Home, the cats cannot get the lid off and if they do knock it over, that lid is not coming off. That lid is very secure. I am very, very pleased with that. You can have up to six meal settings on this thing although I don’t know anyone who feeds their cat that many times a day but it’s still a nice option. It is easy to setup and use. You can adjust the portion control to however many ounces You would like. Definitely read the manual before selecting meal times, portions, and setting up.I like that there’s a lock feature so that the kids can’t mess with the buttons or the cats can’t bump it and accidentally feed themselves. My smart cats would figure that out. My girl cat opens drawers and cabinets and she’s the one who figured out how to pop off the other lid on the other Auto feeder I returned! There’s even a little recording button on this machine. We make a specific noise in our home with our voice to call the cats for feeding time so you can record that but I don’t even find it necessary because they can hear the food drop from several rooms away and they come running. I love a timed feeder because it’s predictable for cats and they will wait around the food when it is time to eat because they know it’s coming. It’s predictable, cats love a schedule and routine. If for any reason you need to take it apart, it is easy to clean and you can remove the bottom tray very easily to clean it anytime. It does click in place so the cats can’t move around the bowl, but all you have to do is lift it straight up out of its little latches to clean it.Another feature about this, is you can either plug it in the wall and use electricity or you could use batteries. Also, it held an entire bag of kitten food for my little kitten girl. Well, of course, depending on the size bag you get, but it does hold a lot of kibble!Get it! You won’t be disappointed!
I was ready to sent this feeder back, because no matter what I did, I couldn’t get the automatic feeder to work. I had set it up with the SmartLife app as per the instructions. When researching the issue, AI mentioned the Tuya app. I had used that app before and decided to give it a try. Guess what, the Tuya App is now called Tuya-SmartLife, and when I used it, everything worked perfectly.I just received the feeder this morning, and I am still waiting to see if my cat will use it. When it dropped her food into the dish, she immediately went to check it out, however she didn’t eat any. She is a very finnicky eater, so it may take a while for her to adjust (or get hungry enough).
Just got this feeder today. My last feeder for my one cat was a “set the hourly countdown” type. So I wanted it to feed him every morning at 6am… well since it would only let you set up to 23hr and 59mins… every day the time would come earlier and earlier. The other morning I checked and it was due to feed him at 3am because of this setting feature, not a fan, and unless I’m up at 6am (which normally I am not) to reset it every couple of days… then it would just keep feeding him earlier and earlier. I needed something with a programmable clock feature, and I found this feeder. The set up for the feeder was easy, setting the local time was simple (12hr and 24hr features for whichever you prefer) and then it let me program 8 different feeding times/portions for my cat. This works for me since I only auto feed my cat early in the morning before I get up for work, I do give him a little bit of food at night but I manually give that to him so the feeder isn’t needed. As for the portions, my cat is on a strict 1/3 cup in the morning diet (he’s a big breed and would gain weight like crazy) so I tested the portions a couple times to make sure it wouldn’t over or under feed him. I found that 4 portions was about the 1/3 cup I feed him, the guide says 5 portions but that was a very overflowing 1/3 cup. I have it set to feed him a 2 portion for tonight to test how it does on its own. I also love the recording feature, I was able to use it to record the sound his old feeder played (bird noises) so that he would not be completely thrown off with the new feeder, I also hit the “feed” button and it gave him one portion so he could get use to it. I also love that the attachable bowl is not that metal, it gets discolored and metal tasting after a while; it’s just the same plastic as the rest of the feeder. The seal around the top where the food is held is also very well made, I can feel when I remove the lid.. that suction from it being airtight. All in all, so far I’m very happy with this purchase and for $30 it’s an amazing addition for my cat’s feeding needs :)I also have no issues with the battery indicator. I don’t have an outlet near his food area, so I just use the 3 AA batteries (not included).
This is all plastic parts , so be sure to clean every day or every other day… after 48 hours, according to vital sips.com plastic generates considerable bacteria, if you wait beyond that 48 hours. I boil my water to make sure all bacteria is sterilized. FYI (Vital sips sell all metal water fountains). Note that the last little shoot where it drops into the bowl cannot be removed for cleaning so I wipe it with alcohol to remove bacteria —best I can do on that part. I also put any residual dry food in the oven to make sure it’s sterile when it goes back inside the system because it tends to spill out when you’re cleaning it. Reassembly after cleaning is a bit tricky— the compartment base and the food tank all need to lineup at the side notches shown for the food tank. You might have to fiddle some with the base so that it rotates clockwise into place. I always check the dispense afterwards to make sure I got it together right.“In the box” says it comes with a charger, which mine did not, though I had an old iPhone plug & adaptor on hand. I don’t wish to return it for a replacement because it’s likely to come the same way. Since I have one on hand already I have not deducted for that.Programming it was a little frustrating because the first item you put in is the time of day. If you toggle through any of that, then it was not obvious it came back for reprogramming it. I finally resolved that issue by unplugging it for a while for it to reset everything. (No battery in) The plus/minus key pressed together is supposed to reset everything, but it did not seem to do the time of day. Later I realized it’s possibly a blank input, so it’s easy to inadvertently toggle through that. To get to the change am to pm, you have to change the first number :ie 5 AM to 5 PM by toggling all the way around those first numbers. So it’s easy to make a mistake on the a.m. or p.m. setting. Except for that it’s relatively easy to program and the feeding numbers 1-6 can be reset using the simultaneous plus minus keys together. You can select one of the feeding settings to correct later, but you end up toggling through a lot of extra numbers. The instructions are fairly good, though it did not tell you how to change the a.m. p.m. and the time of day instruction was not very clearly stated. Also, it did not tell you where the unlock button is, it is not the one that lights up. It’s all the way over on the left side.I got this so that my cats would not cry for food at three in the morning! (Multicat household). It does WONDERS for that! Free feeding cats at night results in fat cats which shortens their life according to my Vet. And other health issues from overweight cats. So restrictive feeding is necessary to keep them at the right weight. But they get hungry at night when I want to sleep! Can’t say how long this will last I just got it, the hope is a year minimum because it’s rather expensive to replace very often. The company did throw in overnight shipping included in the price. This was the best feeder according to the reviews, which is more expensive than the lowest priced items. I did not want Wi-Fi connection because that often is the first thing to break on these type of devices. Simpler is better! I chose the black one because it was five dollars cheaper, and the time is very legible because of the contrast! Love that. This is just a fancy alarm clock with a shoot, and storage container; it’s surprisingly rather expensive for what it is… most electronics seem to be overpriced imo.
I have a multi-cat household and bought 4 of these. For all of the functions you cannot beat the price. You can set multiple meal drops throughout the day and choose your portions. The measurements for the portion sizes are in the instructions. I choose to do very small portions a few times a day to give my cats a snack in between their wet food meals. I can also program in more feedings with larger portions if we are traveling or away from home. It comes with a lid that seals well, has a desiccant inside the lid to absorb moisture, a slot for 3 D batteries incase your power goes out, and a cool function where you can record a meal call that plays at each kibble drop. It seems well made and I like the look of it. You could probably pack it up easily for travel as well. I do have one thief of a cat who helps himself to everyone else’s food, so these feeders allowed me to program the timing to where his drops a minute earlier than everyone else’s and he is distracted with his food by the time the others’ drops! I wish the bowl part was a little shallower to prevent whisker fatigue but it is removable so you can easily replace that part if you choose! I probably will for mine. I appreciate that you don’t have to download a stupid app to use this feeder as well.Tips for setup: Put the batteries (if you choose to use them) and the USB plug into the unit before adding food since it’s on the bottom of the unit! When ready, hold down the lock button to unlock the screen, hold down the + button to switch it over to 12hr clock format, then use plus and minus to set up your times, portions, etc. Once complete, you will want to unlock the screen and press the ‘Feed’ button a few times to allow the wheel to spin the kibble out during setup. Hopefully this helps someone but the instructions are all in the box too! This is a great and reliable feeder with lots of options at a steal of a price when compared to similar options on the market. Will update my review if it craps out or anything :)
I have owned 3 Petlibro auto feeders. My first was not a smart one. I actually modified a 5 gallon bucket with a hole cut out to anti raccoon proof. It has 4 D batteries as back up the plug is usb connect that I hated for outside. NY weather can get cold other than not protecting battery compartments hit wet was able to save it . I later wrapped press and seal plastic wrap . That was 2020 for my feral friends I only fed 2 x a day when I believed the raccoons were gone. Hit and miss they were never able to open or drag it as I zip tied the bucket to the zip ties. My second ( not really sure if I replaced first unit and donated the one that had trauma. I bought a smart one for inside. They do sell a separate reg plug you can buy. I had trouble setting up the feeder customer service told me my WiFi was 5g I needed 2.5 and coukd adjust my router I’m not that techy. I did however have Verizon coming who accommodated me. I bought a camera one at same time but since so much stress with the 2.5 vs 5 or I had 2.5 and needed 5. Problem was resolved my end. The camera one I returned new with out opening and out a blink camera on feeder. It does get clogged it notifies you if no one is home you can’t fix except skipping or lower ant of food that is what gets blocked. I like the dish snaps on bottom with a lift and tilt. The raccoons could not grab dish . It will dispense whether dish is attached or not . I then bought a second short reg one for a dif cat in my neighbors yard she liked my set up. Used a spackle bucket. The larger the bucket at Lowe’s was $5. My inside cats I’m disappointed I can’t just buy a 2 feeder bowl and connect to my existing unit. I have read it won’t work on it. I will go in app and inquire. Amazon best place to buy because of return policy although Petlibro had final say they waited til the received item in where house for unit I returned it was not cheap and I needed it for bills. That took a few calls I eventually received it. I’m thinking of trying wet feeder. But not sure. I have one that’s not refrigerated my cats like there cat food soft and warm so it might be fine I can put it in my own. Ice pack. It’s just for a long night and the kitten needs to eat every 4 hours. Can’t say my big guy won’t eat his food. But not separating them little guy will eat whatever i guess older cat will get the kitten calories. Neither if my cats are heavy eaters grazing works with dry and big guy never ate wet but he since kitty devours. I like the brand at the time only ine with a smart app. There are much cheeer other company ones on eBay. Don’t over look eBay. Many people buy pallets from Amazon with various items so you get a good price. I prefer a item I have experience with. The outside one is in blue bucket I like to Mae a mout around bowl for aunt prevention. Inside reg set up.
Game changer! This was easy to set up, looks and works as described. Easy, understandable instructions to set meal time and amount and record a message for feeding time if you want. Easy to clean, holds plenty of food and dispenses without problem.
Wow. Very nice machine with a very secure hopper, which is what I was most concerned about, easy to manage easy to time (you can time eight meals a day, more than enough) it is the single most thing that is helping me manage my weight of my already overweight cat. And what a price. If you’re thinking about buying a feeder for your cat, I cannot recommend this one enough. On my mother‘s name.
I have paid so much for cat care over the years for our now 12 year old cat. Purchased the petlibro a year ago - should have bought it sooner. Such a saver for short period of time when we are gone. Up to 6 feeding times fot various se4ving amounts. I like to feed the smallest all day. My cat now knows the sound when the food dumps out. Worth the money.
I've been very happy with this. We've only had it a couple of weeks but it has worked great. The battery backup worked perfectly after a couple of power outages we experienced. Set up was not intuitive but there was a good video they steer you to on their website that does a good job of walking you through set up. I can't speak to durability yet but early indications are that this product delivers on all it's promises at a very good price.
Awesome, have used it for around 4-5 years now. Night and day difference to the cat ownership experience, she almost never wakes me up at 4 am. Easy to transport if I drop my cat off somewhere to be catsat. I set the feeder to the smallest portion size and have it dispense every 6 hours. I was worried my cat might gain weight, but she has stayed around ~9 lbs. if this one ever broke I would just buy it again
I ordered 3 one for each of my cats. I like that it let me name them so I can keep track of each one. The camera on them is pretty good. It was easy to get up and going. I also like that my cats can not move the bowls out of the way or open the lid. They do not take up a lot of space.
Simple, instructions are clear, works well, easy to clean, worth the money, if you want a basic automated cat feeder this is the one
It works well enough but the product information has contradictory info about serving volume. Early on it says the portion is 2.5 tsp then in the Q/A section it says 4/3 tsp. Since I bought this to aid in controlling my cat’s weight and “scarf&barf” habit of over eating, this is really annoying. I had to recalculate and reprogram everything once I figured this out. I can’t afford a feeder that dispenses by weight but this volume info should be a consistent presentation of its features. This info is not included in the supplied instructions at all, only in the sales literature.
The quality is not bad for the price. It’s kind of easy to use as long as you read the instructions and keep them, DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY. The battery life is unecessary because you plug it in. It’s fairly sturdy as my cats were not able to knock it over.
Purchased three of these for a multi-cat household when a medical appointment required an overnight stay. They look nice, not like some cheap looking plastic jar. Assembly took a bit, but was not difficult. These feeders were tested prior to the final set-up, and seemed a bit off for the first few days. Following this, they worked beautifully. Setting up the timers was a bit monotonous, but not difficult. The food is stored tightly. The storage tank is durable, meaning cats can’t knock it over to dump the food. Upon arriving home, the remaining food in the tank was still fresh. The tray is large enough so cats do not fight for a spot. I’ll also add that these replaced smart feeders. I wanted simple, timed feeders that required no connection to the internet.
